The integration of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems into the electricity grid has the potential to provide clean and sustainable energy, but it also presents challenges related to grid stability and reliability.
For photovoltaic (PV) systems to become fully integrated into networks, efficient and cost-effective energy storage systems must be utilized together with intelligent demand side management.
This review paper provides the first detailed breakdown of all types of energy storage systems that can be integrated with PV encompassing electrical and thermal energy storage systems.
Integrating renewable energy sources, biogas, and solar energy could provide up to 88% of the annual energy requirements of WWTPs. Recommendations are provided for further research considering the limited availability of integrated resources for studying the simultaneous utilization of photovoltaic and biogas systems. 1.
