Conclusions In this paper, we introduced multifunctional energy storage composites (MESCs), a novel form of structurally-integrated batteries fabricated in a unique material vertical integration process.
Battery energy-storage systems typically include batteries, battery-management systems, power-conversion systems and energy-management systems 21 (Fig. 2b).
