At present, China's wind power development is mainly concentrated in the “Three North” and coastal areas. However, wind power development in the “Three North” region is facing a series of problems.
Thus, a comprehensive assessment will help to understand the history, current situation and future challenges of China's wind power industry by combining some recent statistics. The remaining part is organized as follows. In Section 2, the development history of modern wind power in China will be introduced.
Our results show that a substantial portion of RE can be harnessed in northwest China, with wind energy generation reaching up to 9.84PWh/km2 /yr at 110m and 12.43 PWh/km 2 /yr at 140m.
