These systems are designed to store energy from renewable sources or the grid and release it when required. This setup offers a modular and scalable solution to energy storage.

Container energy storage systems are inherently modular, making them highly scalable and flexible. A single unit can store a small amount of energy, but these systems can be easily expanded by adding additional containers as energy demand grows.
Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) is a significant subcategory of ECES, made up of a series of interconnected battery cells that charge and discharge energy in an efficient manner . Every battery cell has three main elements like an anode, a cathode and an electrolyte, which enable the movement of electrons during charging and discharging.
